Traditionally we have used the word shampoo as a phrase that refers to washing our hair. This phrase has since evolved in the natural hair community to the term "Cleanse". The reason for this, is that in terms of treating our natural hair, traditional shampoo is not the only way we "naturals" keep our hair clean.
