Step by step instructions
This kit is used for washday purposes only. Note that detox process must be followed every 6 weeks. In the interim weeks the normal cleanser/deep conditioner process is followed or use the deep conditioner to do a co-wash on your hair.
Bentonite Clay Detox process:
Using a plastic bowl and plastic teaspoon (very important that you do not use steel bowl or teaspoon as you will cancel the effectiveness of the clay), mix 6 teaspoons of clay with 1/4 apple cider vinegar and 3/4 cup water. Mix together until you come to a smooth paste, similar to the consistency of yogurt.
On damp hair (wet hair or apply water using a spray bottle) apply clay mixture from root to tip. Always ensure the you work in sections and ensure that all hair is fully covered.
Allow to sit for 20 minutes then rinse. Note that you do not have to shampoo hair after detox treatment. Follow with berry bliss deep conditioning treatment.
For normal washday process:
Step 1 : Apply Lemongrass Conditioning Creme Cleanser to wet hair. Focus on applying to the scalp first and allow foam to gently cleanse the hair. Gently massage scalp. Rinse and repeat process if necessary.
Step 2 : In 4-8 sections on wet hair, apply berry bliss deep conditioning treatment from root to tip. Ensure that all hair is fully covered. Cover with a shower cap and wrap with a scarf for an hour. For low porosity hair it is advisable to use heat to lift your cuticles to allow moisture to penetrate the hair strand. Do this by sitting under a hooded hair dryer for 20 minutes or using a deep conditioning cap for maximum results.
