Are your products safe to use on my kids?
Yes, all products are hand mixed and contain natural oils, butters, organic herbs and essential oils The products are free from harmful chemicals such as sulphates, parabens, silicones and petroleum and can be used on kids of all ages.
I am new to the natural hair lifestyle. Where do I start and what products would you recommend?
Congratulations on your decision to go natural! The first decision would be whether to do a big chop (cut off all your chemical or heat damaged hair and start afresh) or transition (grow out your natural hair until you reach a length to do a big chop). Once you have made that decision, it is important to determine your natural hair type, texture and porosity. Once this is determined, it is important to get yourself into a healthy hair care routine. I have Type 4 coily hair. Will the products work for my hair type?
Will the products make my hair curl?
The products are used to enhance your existing curl pattern. When following a healthy hair care routine and your hair is well moisturised, the products will enhance your natural curl or coil. In addition, when transitioning from heat damaged hair, it is important to note that you need time to help your curls back to a healthy state and also use different techniques to curl train your hair.
Are your products tested on animals?
Our products are plant based 100% vegan with no animal by products used in production and have been tested on family and friends.
My hair and scalp is sensitive to some oils such as shea butter and castor oil. Will I be affected by your product?
In this case, its best to let us know which oils you are sensitive to and we will do our best to replace these oils with different oils and mix a special batch of products for you.
How should I store products to maximise shelf life?
The shelf life our products are generally 6 -12 months. They must be stored in a cool dry place away from moisture. Avoid storing in the bathroom as there is lots of moisture there and would have an impact on the shelf life.
Are the products curly girl approved?
The products have been formulated with the curly girl method of maintaining curls in mind. Our products are chemical free and free of sulphates, parabens, silicones and petroleum and are in line with the guidelines provided by Lorraine Massey.
If I place my order today, when will I receive my order?
Please note that we currently handmix our products in small batches and most products are mixed by special order. Orders are normally ready for collection by courier within 48 hours from the date that POP is received. For more information on shipping and delivery, please click here for our shipping guidelines
Who should I contact if there is a problem with my order or delivery?
Delivery of your order in a quality condition is our main priority. Should you have an issue with the condition of your product when you receive it, please do not hesitate to contact us on our WhatsApp line by clicking on the WhatsApp popup icon on the website. I have made an error on my order/address. How do I fix this?
For any changes to your order (line items) or change in address, the fastest way for you to get in contact with us is through our whatapp line. Click on the icon on the website and we will rectify it immediately. If you have an address change, its best to contact us as soon as possible as once your parcel has been collected by the courier company or is in transit, then it is very difficult to change on the system.
Where are the products made and is it women owned?
The products are produced locally in Johannesburg South Africa and is 100% owned by a Type 4 Coily Girl.
Are your products shipped internationally or over boarder to Africa?
Our products are not yet shipped internationally but you are welcome to drop us an email below and we can arrange shipment of your country at your own cost.
How do I place my order and do you have an agent in my area?
Our system is currently set up to only take orders online but you may drop us your order via our WhatsApp line by providing us with your Name, address, email and contact numbers and we will create a customer code for you and load your order on the system. We currently do not have an agents but are working on that currently.
How do I pay for my order?
We have 3 different payment options available:
1. Cash is only allowed when collecting your order from our Johannesburg address.
2. Card - We process payments via YOCO which provide safe and secure processing of debit and credit card transactions.
3. EFT/Bank deposit - You may load us as a beneficiary on your banking app and make a payment to us via EFT or do a direct deposit via any ATM. Bank details will be sent with your order confirmation. Please add your order number as reference when making payment to assist when allocating your payment in the bank.
